Draper Center Alum, Nowakowski, Soars On To So You Think You Can Dance Top 10

Draper Center, the official training school for the Rochester City Ballet, is excited to announce student alumni, Jim Nowakowski, has made the Top 10 on So You Think You Can Dance continuing his journey to become America’s Favorite Dancer.

Nowakowski stunned the judges with his Los Angeles audition, and has been wowing with each performance, being told in his rehearsal for his Monday night performance that he was "The best dancer on the show.” by Team Stage Captain, Travis Wall and then after his performance Executive Producer and Judge Nigel Lythgoe concurred with the statement saying he was “The best technical dancer of this season and many of the previous.”

“From the first moment Jim walked into the studio we all knew he was special,” said Jamey Leverett, Artistic Director of The Draper Center for Dance Education, “He was always a pleasure to teach. Hardworking, dedicated, passionate, and so naturally gifted. When a complete package like Jim comes along, you just know he’s going to be a star!”

Monday night, Draper Center students along with their family members cheered on Nowakowski as he was voted into the Top 10 continuing his journey to become “America’s favorite dancer”. We’re hoping all of Rochester, NY will come out and help back this talented local artist by watching and voting for him on So You Think You Can Dance.
