Samantha Winter-Ballet and Dance Instructor

Originally from Rochester, New York, Samantha Winter, trained at Draper Center for Dance Education from the age of 5 until she graduated in 2017. She was in multiple productions with the Rochester City Ballet, including CinderellaLittle Red Riding Hood, and The Nutcracker.

Samantha’s dance training and experiences fueled her love for choreography and instructing which led her to Indiana University to get a BA in Contemporary Dance, allowing her to explore various subunits of dance, while also completing a minor in Kinesiology. There she had the privilege of working with Rennie Harris, Juel D Lane, Stafford Berry Jr, and perform works from Talley Beatty and Martha Graham.

Upon graduating in 2021, Samantha returned to the Rochester area and returned as an instructor for Draper Center. She is excited to share with her students a universal understanding and impact on how the body, through dance, invites people of all backgrounds to admire a shared experience.
